Dr Mike Martinsen, DDS Dentist
Dr. Mike Martinsen received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He later received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Martinsen enjoys problem solving, a skill that led him to his first career as an Engineer. As a dentist he is most fulfilled when helping solve his patients dental related problems such as fear of the dentist, embarrassment with smiling, or pain or difficulty while eating.
When Dr. Martinsen is not at the clinic he can be found wrestling his 3 young children, mountain biking the beautiful trails of WNC, or building projects with his family.

Dr. Robert Busey, DDS Dentist
Dr. Robert Busey earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina State University and his dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been president of the Buncombe County Dental Society since 2016 and won the LFR Founders Award in 2018.
Dr. Busey loves the creativity that working with his hands provides. Having patients leave the office looking and feeling better than when they came in makes his day!
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Busey loves to put his pilot license to good use—flying. He has also been an avid skydiver for over four decades. Dr. Busey enjoys scuba diving and playing racquetball as well.

Amy
Office Administrator
Amy has been with our practice for almost four decades, and before that she was a satisfied patient! She holds a degree in business from AB Tech. The best part of her job is getting to know each of our amazing patients and answering their administrative questions.
When she is not helping patients in our dental office, Amy spends her free time hiking, traveling, being with family, and attending church. You might also catch sight of her volunteering in the community.

Lisa
Front Office and Dental Assistant
Lisa is our front desk assistant and our dental assistant. She studied at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, where she earned a degree in dental assisting.
As a person with former dental phobia, Lisa enjoys meeting new patients, establishing close relationships, and providing the best dental care possible with compassion and understanding.
When she is not at work, Lisa likes to attend church with her husband and get together with family. She has grandchildren and enjoys watching the two oldest participate in sports and other activities. Lisa also likes to read, watch movies, and tune into HGTV.

Kelley Beard
Hygienist
Kelley received her Associates degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene in 1992. She has since spent most of her career in public health treating geriatric patients as well as those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
What she enjoys most about being a hygienist is seeing a persons smile change for the better through education and treatment. Sometimes those healthy changes are only seen by her but are often the most rewarding.
When she is not in the clinic she enjoys shopping, working outdoors and real estate. Most of all, she enjoys being a wife and mom to her three kids.

Marie
Dental Assistant
Marie is a dental assistant who studied her craft under a dentist and an orthodontist.
She loves everything about her job, including helping people feel comfortable, working with and getting to know each patient, and assisting the dentist in all the various procedures—every day is different!
When Marie is not at work, she enjoys organic gardening, beekeeping, cooking, and putting up her own food. She is also an avid reader.

Tori Livingston

Tori received her Dental Assistant training in Stoughton, MA. She has worked in nearly all fields of dentistry including pediatric, endodontic, orthodontic, and general dentistry.
She loves working with people and especially enjoys creating a positive atmosphere where patients can enjoy their dental experience.
